Alicia Rollison

Who is your favorite soccer team? Favorite player?  Women’s National Team Abby Wambach

What do you enjoy most about coaching soccer?  Of course I love to watch the game; and enjoy seeing players take what we have taught them in practice, apply it in a game setting and find success.

If you were not coaching soccer, what would you be doing?  When I’m not coaching soccer I’m teaching social studies at Johnston High School.

Other than soccer, what is your favorite sport?  College Football

Other than soccer, what are some of your hobbies and interests?  I enjoy hanging out with friends, playing with my dog Captain, relaxing in my hammock when weather permits, and watching movies.

If you had 4 words to describe yourself, what would they be?   Easygoing yet competitive, funny, and reliable.

What is your favorite movie and your favorite character from that movie?  To be completely honest my favorite movie is Silence of the Lambs. It’s a tie between Jodie Foster’s Clarice Starling and Anthony Hopkins Hannibal Lector for favorite character. If I didn’t become a History teacher I would have been a detective.

What is your favorite TV show?  It was ER. But now that it is off the air Big Bang Theory, just for laughs, and Desperate Housewives and Grey’s Anatomy are my guilty pleasures.

What is your favorite musical artist?  I don’t have one. I just flip channels on the radio and stop at songs I like. When all else fails I just sing along to the oldies.

If you had one day to spend anywhere, where would you go and what would you be doing?  That’s too tough to narrow down. I’ve always wanted to go to Australia and to take a cruise in the Mediterranean.

What is your biggest pet peeve?  In general, rude people or those who are self-centered.

If you could have one superpower, what would it be?  Teleporting: travel across space and distance instantly.

If you could have dinner with 4 people, who would you invite, and what would you be eating?  Again, way to hard to narrow down…but off the top of my head:
Leonardo da Vinci
Martin Luther King Jr.
Golda Meir
Benjamin Franklin
I think we will keep it simple and have salad, cheesy potatoes, and steak.

What is the best piece of advice given to you?  My mom used to sing when I was younger, “Que Sera Sera” (Whatever will be will be). Basically she would tell us to do our best each day and every thing would work out in the end.
