HIT Tournament Review

Over the first two weekends in November many of our boys and girls teams participated in the very competitive HIT tournament in Kansas City. Once again the JUSC had a very good showing from the boys and girls, ending with 3 winners, 1 runners-up and 1 losing semi-finalist. The U11 Girls Lightning finished as Champions, winning a very entertaining game 2-1, in the 2nd period of overtime. The U12 Premier Boys Blue team finished an excellent season defeating Ankeny 6-1 in the final and ending undefeated in the tournament. The U15 Boys Barcelona, continued on from their previous weeks State Cup exploits, buy also going undefeated and winning the Championship game 3-0. The U13 Premier Girls lost 1-0 in the final and the U13 Boys Sunderland lost in the semi-final. The U15 Girls Rebels made it two for two as they also finished as Champions in the Halloween Havoc in Council Bluffs. View all the winning teams on our Champions page.

Congratulations to all JUSC teams who gave the club a very solid showing in all the tournaments and league games this fall season.

Acceleration Iowa, a speed and agility company, has partnered with JUSC. They will be working with our professional staff to be on site for our Wednesday night game day sessions from 5-6:30 pm at Urbandale Soccer Complex. They will work with our athletes on proper stretching and exercises to improve their preparation for practices and games. In addition, they will give all JUSC members a 5% discount on Acceleration Iowa training packages at any one of their three city locations.
JUSC Players Taking It To The Collegiate Level

JUSC is proud to announce that 16 current players will be moving on to play at the collegiate level, many gaining an athletic scholarship to assist them on the way. The U18 Girls State Cup Champions has 14 players who will become student athletes, whilst our only two graduating boys will be continuing to play in college. Out of the 16 graduating, 10 will be playing Division 1 Soccer, which is a huge achievement.

Some of the schools our players will be attending are Drake, Iowa, Iowa State, UNI, University of Milwaukee Wisconsin, Loyola, Lindenwood, Clarke, Simpson, Grand View, Northwestern and Hamline University. Congratulations to all our players, you are doing JUSC proud!!!
