Bettering YOUR Game   Rossco’s tip of the week: It’s important that you have some moves and tricks in your locker that help you to beat a player, or get out of pressure during the game. One of the most effective is the Cruyff turn (I’m sure you’ve heard of it and maybe practiced it before). Here it is, performed by the man who had the move named after him- Johan Cruyff! That defender looks like he’s going for the hotdogs! Master this skill and you can get out of many a tough spot on the field.

FLAT SOCCER BALLS! Seriously, why do you players show up to practice with soccer balls that are ridiculously flat? It’s not realistic to the actual game; we don’t play out games at the weekend with flat balls, so we shouldn’t be practicing with flat balls. You can hardly pass or shoot with a flat ball anyway, c’mon do your coach a favor and get some air in those soccer balls!

 

What’s happening at JUSC?
The season is just getting underway, and everyone is getting in the soccer groove. Every week, we will use this space to let everyone know what is going on with the players and teams at JUSC. For now, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome all our new coaches and players to the club.
